Specialising in performance-focused Poll Hereford, Angus cattle and Wagyu, the business is committed to producing efficient, functional animals that deliver value to commercial producers. With a strong emphasis on structural soundness, fertility, and carcase traits, the breeding program is guided by careful sire selection and dominant cow families.
Founded in 1963, Bowen’s genetics trace back to elite Australian studs, with further influence from international experience gained in New Zealand, the USA, and Canada. The Angus stud was established in 1995, and the program continues to evolve through strategic genetic investment, including elite female lines from leading dispersals and global herd tours.
