Nestled between Adelaide and Melbourne in South Australia, Woodsoak spans 4,000 acres near the seaside town of Robe. Owned and operated by the Legoe family for five generations since its purchase in 1950, this farm boasts a legacy rooted in the pioneering spirit of early European settlers in the 1830s. Today, Will Legoe, a fifth-generation farmer, oversees Woodsoak, focusing on a cattle breeding program that emphasises Wagyu Angus Cross cattle.

This strategy, aimed at producing super-premium meat, involves selecting bulls with high marbling EBVs, showcasing Woodsoak’s commitment to quality in a region ideal for cattle due to its mild winters and warm summers. The farm’s evolution from undeveloped land to a leading agricultural enterprise reflects a legacy of hard work, quality, and tradition.
